Residential lawn mowing is the mainstay of our business and we have many happy customers over the Botany / Howick area.

Services we offer

'Catchered' lawn mowing

Where we capture the grass clippings and remove offsite providing a neat tidy finish to your lawn.  Catchered lawn mowing is great if the finished appearance of your lawn is important and you don't mind additional watering or fertilising especially in summer. 

Mulch lawn mowing

Mulching is when the clippings are left on the lawn rather than collected in the mower catcher.  While not as neat as lawn mowing with grass cuttings removal,  mulching helps to return nutrients to the soil and means fertiliser should not be needed.  Grass clippings contain nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium as well as water and organic matter and do the job of fertilising the lawn for you.   In most cases mulching is the preferred option but if you have very tall grass or need to prevent weed spread, or the grass is wet,  catchered lawn mowing may be best.  We can offer a combination of both types of mowing.

Lawn mowing frequency

We can mow your lawn on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. More frequent mowing is preferable as it allows for management of longer grass height which means deeper roots and healthier grass. Lawn mowing to a longer grass length also shades the soil, allowing water retention and helps to prevent weed growth.  

Edge trimming and shaping

We can include edge trimming and shaping to your specification with every mow

Weeding

As well as lawn mowing we also offer a weed spraying service.  If you want this included with your next mow, just let us know. There is an additional fee for this service but we always try to keep our prices low.

Garden tidy up

We can include a regular garden tidy as part of the lawn mowing service or as a one off service.   Garden tidy ups can include weeding, hedge trimming, planting etc For further garden jobs we do please see our Garden Maintenance page
